Don't be confused by the moniker of LA party squad Minimal Effort – their events are always finely curated exercises in the darker side of "house and techno." In their solitary year of existence, they've become the go to scene in LA for weirder late night tunage by booking everyone from Daniel Bortz to Audiofly, the Culprit mob, and almost the entire Desert Hearts crew. This weekend at the Park Plaza Hotel in Koreatown might be Minimal Effort's most stacked lineup ever: Matador, Butch, Andhim, Uner, Modus, Jon Dadon and DAVI will all mob the space, both inside and out. Look at it this way: MINUS, Coccoon Recordings, Crosstown Rebels, Get Physical, and Diynamic will all be present in Los Angeles this weekend, and at one event. What more do you need to know?
